Blogging, Week 6
Wow! This takes me back! Please check the date this post was authored, as it may no longer be relevant in a modern context.
Six weeks ago I tweeted a tweet I never realized would change my daily routine so much.
I need a blogging blood pact buddy. The first one to not blog twice a week for a year owes the other a tab at the Brandy Library. You in?

This marks week six of blogging twice a week. I’ve written 13 posts since agreeing to this pact, some quite good and many less than perfect. But, each published in time for two articles a week to go live.
I’ve written on a regular schedule before. Sometimes in college (though not much, a music degree doesn’t demand much writing), and working with a regional music magazine in the southeast. Even then, the schedule for delivery was not nearly so strict.
Two friends have helped me keep this absurd pace of post authorship up, AJ and Patrick. Patrick has already witten about this project here.
The effect of just a few focused weeks of writing is incredibly impressive, and without our small support network I don’t think any of us could have maintained a single article a week at this pace.
What strategies help you to keep writing on a regular basis? Does enforcing a schedule work in your own experience?
